Zopa is the world’s first peer-to-peer lender and the largest in Europe. Since launching in 2005, Zopa has lent over £1.5bn in unsecured personal loans to UK customers, of which £485 million was lent over the last 12 months. Zopa has over 150,000 borrowers, over 63,000 retail lenders, and a number of partnerships with organisations such as Metro Bank who also lend through Zopa’s award-winning platform.
Seema is Head of Strategic Partnerships at Zopa, where she works with other organisations to identify ways of meeting the needs of customers and creating commercial value by combining Zopa’s capabilities with those of its partners. Prior to joining Zopa, Seema was Head of Mobile Money at GSMA, the global trade association for the mobile industry, where she worked with mobile network operators in emerging markets to meet the financial needs of underserved customers by delivering innovative and sustainable services via the mobile channel. Prior to GSMA, Seema was Head of Retail Savings a Halifax Bank of Scotland, and also spent six years working on a range of strategy projects within Financial Services at Accenture
