Ian has 35 years experience leveraging technology for competitive advantage. He has been European Marketing Director for HSBC, Deputy CEO of HSBC Malaysia and managed the operations function for HSBC’s Retail & Commercial Banking businesses across 60 countries for 50m customers. Ian’s experience encompasses leading a successful technology start-up, launching HSBCs first digital propositions, chairing the UK Chip & PIN programme, winning the Institute of Financial Services innovation award, chairing the Mondex UK electronic cash scheme and launching a new bank in Asia. He is passionate about the link between customer service and profitability and in the UK and Malaysia led the delivery of market leading customer engagement.
